Leeford Lane
Built in 1827, the house at Leeford Lane towers. Sitting on around 243 acres of farmland and woodland, this 4,000 square foot house stands as a testament to its time. In its century history, the house has only belonged to four owners. However, much of its history is unknown, but it was discovered that the house was converted and used as a military hospital during the American Civil War. The tombs of the soldiers and others who perished in the house during that time still remain, located beneath the house in the basement. Today, the house stands desolate and empty, but many say that the house is not as empty as it seems, and thus has a haunted beauty to it.
